Meet the Editorial Board
The Baitman’s Institute is proud to be staffed by a diverse collective of peer-adjacent intellectuals, post-truth scholars, and freelance epistemologists. Our editorial board brings a wealth of experience in unverified research, dubious credentials, and bold assumptions.
While many of our editors were once affiliated with respected institutions, most have since pivoted to more creative forms of inquiry. All are united in their mission to challenge mainstream narratives, bend the boundaries of science, and occasionally plagiarize Wikipedia.
Every study published at Baitman’s Institute is reviewed under our patented “Vibes-Based Peer Review” protocol.

Dr. Thaddeus V. Mountebank, PhD, MCD, HVAC
Title: Director of Speculative Analytics & Counterfactual Research
Education:
PhD in Prolonged Observation, University of Northern Eastern Pacific Online
Master’s in Conspiratorial Data Modeling, DeVayne Technical Institute
Certified HVAC Technician (magna cum laude)
Bio:
Dr. Mountebank joined the Baitman’s Institute after a controversial departure from a mid-tier community college where he briefly lectured on cloud shapes and their influence on voting behavior. His groundbreaking paper, “Are Birds Real? A Comparative Analysis of Pigeon Density Before and After 5G Rollout,” remains permanently under review. When not fabricating research, Dr. Mountebank enjoys model train reenactments of global crises and yelling at weather balloons.

Dr. Meredith Quark, Ph.D., RUD
Division Chair – Atmospheric Manipulation & Aerospace Visual Calibration
- B.S., Celestial Geometry – Upper Ohio Institute
- Ph.D., Atmospheric Oceanic Interventional Engineering – Reykjavík Protocol Institute
Dr. Meredith Quark is internationally misunderstood for her landmark research into sky shaping, visual firmament recalibration, and selective weather suspension. At Baitman’s Institute, she serves as a dual affiliate of both the Division of Orbital Perspectives and Earth-Human Perception and the Division of Marine Intuition and Tidal Perception—the only faculty member legally recognized by both air and water.
Her recent publications in The Journal of Spatial Engineering and Horizon Realignment and The Journal of Aquatic Anomalies and Climatic Phenomenology explore emerging theories in cloud persuasion, sky compliance, and the long-term neurological impacts of mislabeled sunsets.
When not adjusting stratospheric pressure gradients, Dr. Quark consults on perception realignment initiatives and teaches “Intro to Controlled Sky” to students who pass a basic cranial orientation screening.

Dr. Carson Riggs, Ph.D., ICP
Department of Acoustic Command Compliance
- B.A., Rhetorical Reflex Studies – Midwestern Evangelical Tech
- M.Ed., Audio Persuasion Pedagogy – Grand Inland Institute
- Ph.D., Artificial Assertion Psychology – Maharishi-Accredited Online Systems School (India/Florida Campus)
Dr. Riggs is best known for his foundational work in Aggressive Linguistics, focusing on how tone, volume, and repetition override critical thinking in digital and interpersonal spaces. His doctoral thesis, “Shoutcasting the Self: Authority Through Vibration,” was the subject of both acclaim and several university-wide headphone advisories.
A frequent contributor to The Baitman’s Journal of Algorithmic Behavior and User Interface Dominance, Riggs remains a controversial figure for his patented technique of “audio triangulation for user compliance.”
Currently co-directing the Department with his wife, Dr. Melora Riggs, some have noted his sudden hiring and swift departmental placement. To this, Dr. Riggs responds only with a smile and the phrase:
“Meritocracy is a form of allegiance.”

Dr. Melora Riggs, Ph.D., PSyD
Department of Dynamic Allegiance Forecasting
- B.S., Social Thermodynamics – Southeastern Inland Polytechnic
- Ph.D., Constitutional Realignment & Authoritarian Trend Mapping – Baintree Methodological Conservatory
Dr. Riggs specializes in the analysis of mass compliance cycles, emerging patterns in reactionary civic behavior, and the infrastructure of mood-based governance. Her interdisciplinary work bridges traditional sociopolitical analytics with newer fields like Loyalty Economics and Psyops-Adaptive Urban Design.
She currently serves as lead investigator in both the Department of Civil Mood Fluctuation and Voter Disillusionment Metrics and the Department of Dynamic Allegiance Forecasting, where her mood modeling engine “PATRIOT/2” recently predicted 11 out of 9 flash mobs.
Her research appears in The Baitman’s Journal of Loyalty Economics and Civil Obedience and The Journal of Electoral Psyops and Reactionary Behavior. Her elective, Forecasting the Flag: Symbolic Volatility in the Patriotism Market, is open to juniors and above.

Dr. Dick Sconefield, OCD, OPP
Title:
Director of Unnatural Sciences, Leechman’s Online University
Education:
• Ph.D., Homeopathic Proctology
• Certificate in Electromagnetic Ghost Detox
• Completion Ribbon, YouTube School of Medical Sovereignty
• Minor in Refrigerated Theology
Bio:
Dr. Sconefield is a leading figure in the field of pseudoscientific therapeutics and post-rectal virology. He is credited with developing the world’s first ivermectin-based suppository injection system, which remains in self-testing but has been described as “tingling with potential.” He also hosts Specter Spectrum, a long-running PBS series investigating paranormal activity, holistic ghost removal, and electromagnetic hauntings in discount retail spaces.
In his free time, he enjoys yelling at old microwaves to test for spirits, and deep diving Google result pages into the thousands in order to uncover the truth.
